Glorie Averbach is a founder and entrepreneur in the home automation and technology sectors. Her unique skill set combines forward-thinking and big picture strategy, with a well-developed attention to detail ensuring that sales, operations and customer service are aligned and working as one. She mentors a number of young entrepreneurs in the start-up tech sector and is also a mentor/coach for the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs (FWE).

Charlie Chenyu Zhang
Web Dev and AI tools
Charlie Zhang is a full-stack software engineer at Manulife and previously worked for ROSS intelligence. He graduated from the University of Toronto - St. George Campus with an Honors B.Sc. degree in Computer Science (with high distinction), and is passionate about building software products that solve real problems and create values.

Anny Chih
Your Role in the Future of Healthcare
Anny Chih is a senior business data analyst for Fraser Health Authority, improving operational efficiencies within cross-functional teams. She designed, executed, and presented the results for numerous research studies as a Senior Account Manager for Canada’s largest market research agency, Ipsos, and worked as an Analyst in Advanced Analytics and Product Development for NCC Media.

Lee Huang is a digital innovation executive who delivers business growth by deploying emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and augmented reality. He has held senior roles leading digital strategy, product development, and technology programs at companies including NBC Universal, Barnes & Noble, and Nielsen Business Media.

Philip (Yungu) Ko
How to Be Successful in the Tech Industry
Philip Ko is a Co-op student at the UBC Sauder School of Business specializing in a Combined Major of Business and Computer Science. He has experience in full-stack development, software testing, and object-oriented programming solutions, and was a Teaching Assistant for the course “COMM204 Logistics and Operations Management.”

Developing technology that leverages AI, machine learning & neural networks to create automation and new opportunities for growth has been at the core of her career – and supporting diversity and inclusion in STEM and leadership is one of her passions.

Tanmana Sadhu
What can AI do to help?
Tanmana Sadhu is currently working as a computer vision engineer for Huawei Canada. Her experience includes image and video analysis, anomaly detection, NLP and software development with the help of big data tools and machine learning algorithms. She teaches and collaborates with universities Canada-wide to mentor students using the Ascend Development Kit.
